While everyone was brouhaha about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan doing her first mainstream Hollywood flick trying to bank upon her international fame. The poor lady, after all the hype and hoopla, now is no more than a mere sidekick to Steve Martin.Apparently, the Bachchan babe was a bit too excited about this big Hollywood project she got in her kitty. But they didnt even feature her anywhere in the film’s promos. The producers reportedly decided upon not featuring Aishwarya Rai in the promos because they didnt know how to present her as a star in Hollywood because her star-status and popularity is only restricted to South Asia.A source was quoted saying, “Yes, many know Aishwarya Rai as one of the most beautiful faces in the world. But that was not quite enough for them to flock to watch her movie.”

Bechari Ash… why go to foreign shores for sidekick roles when you can carry an entire film on your shoulders here in India.

Shahid and Rani’s Flick Shelved

The recent financial crisis and the long list of Yash Raj failures has forced director Adi Chopra to shelve his forthcoming flick Haddippa starring Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in pivotal roles.A source reveals, “Adi is in desperate times as most of Yash Raj movies have flopped miserably at the Box Office. They have had only one hit in the last two years, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chak De India. So Adi doesn’t want any more flops.”“He has his own directed film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and is 90% certain that this will become a hit, mainly because it has the star-power of Shah Rukh Khan in the cast. But it’s one of the films after that which has got him worried, Haddipa,” continued the source.“Adi found the direction amateurish by Yash Raj standards. He had a long chat with Anurag Singh (Director) who was shooting the film in Punjab. Adi made it very clear that until things changed, he wouldn’t have another schedule for the film.”

Arbaaz Ditches Wife Malaika For Katrina

Yes Arbaaz Khan has dumped wife Malaika Arora for brother Salman’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Shocked! Dont be.Arbaaz has taken up a new role - that of a producer and for his first film he decided to take Katrina Kaif for the lead role instead of his dear wife Malaika Arora. Now Malaika wouldn’t have been so disappointed in Arbaaz if he had chosen any other actress.

Malaika and Katrina just cannot stand each other. A source reveals,“Apparently, Malaika was supposed to be the lead heroine in Arbaaz’s first film as producer. But with the recent success achieved by Katrina, Arbaaz has decided that it would be a better option financially to replace his wife with his brother’s future wife.”“As one would expect this has not gone down well with Malaika who is now threatening to leave him if he does the intended. Malaika is very jealous of Katrina and it is common knowledge that the two girls share cold vibes,” added the source.

Relax Malaika… You cannot compete with Katrina. She is younger and prettier.

Anil and Sonam Get A Big Snub from British Press

Anil Kapoor is a superstar in India and Sonam Kapoor is one of the most sought after fresh faces in Bollywood but WHO CARES in UK!

Anil Kapoor was invited at the London Film Festival recently to promote the film Slumdog Millionaire where he made a guest appearance as a TV show host. So instead of his wife, Anil took along Sonam so that the girl gets noticed abroad.

But unfortunately both of them got a big ignore by the British media. No one photographed them and no body approached them for interviews.

“None of the British press was interested in taking photos of Sonam or her father. To them they were unknowns and not news-worthy,” says the source.
