Kingfisher airlines gone global with release of Calendar 2009

As Vijay Malaya name is synonymous to the life style and fashion in India, thus it would be routine exercise for Malaya to host glamour event like 2009 Kingfisher Calendar release party as attended by celebrity from the glamour world like Arjun Rampal, Ritu Kumar and Rahul Dev.

Like other year’s calendars this year models were also dressed in designer wears from Jean Paul Gaultier, Dean von Furstenberg, and Moschino.  Atul Kasbekar shot the calendar at exquisite locations of, Thailand. This year’s calendar featured models e Moni Kangana Dutta from India, Tamara Moss (Holland and India), Nargis Fakhri (Czech Republic and Pakistan), Suisa Jongsawat (Thailand), Katya Melnikova (Russia), and Mimi Blix (Norway and Uganda).

In the own words of Mallya, “As one of the most well known and respected consumer brands in the country, Kingfisher has become synonymous with a lifestyle that encompasses some of the finest things in life.  With our airline going global, this was the right time to present some of the finest models from around the globe. I am sure this year to the calendar will be a much coveted possession for one and all.”!

This year’s calendar has models of ethnic Indian origin. She seems quite frank about her appearance on the calendar.

Glam Dolls in the swimming pool for ‘Trump Card’

Glam dolls of Bollywood and the upcoming models Urvashi Chowdhary, Yashika and Manasi came together at the Madh Island in Mumbai for the shoot of a song sequence in their upcoming movie ‘Trump Card’. The three male actors in the movie are also new faces in Vikram Kumar, Pankaj Gupta and Haider Khan.

The movie is a suspense thriller and a murder mystery. Although it is being made on a low budget, nonetheless the actors and actresses are all excited about the project as they hope that the film will make their presence felt in the tinsel town.

 

Aamir Khan to grace the ramp

Aamir Khan is leaving no stone unturned to turn Ghajini into a mega block buster and now he will be walking the ramp to promote his Ghajini style.

Van Heusen has been associated with Ghajini for designing Aamir’s clothes in the first part of the movie and they asked Aamir to walk the ramp for them for which he instantly agreed.A source says, “Aamir will be wearing this brand in the first half of the movie where he has a corporate, modern and fashion-conscious look. The brand just approached him with a formal letter asking him to walk the ramp. Aamir readily accepted, simply stating in reply, ‘It’s a good idea’. Aamir agreed to walk the ramp without monetary expectations.”

Well looks like the ramp will soon be set on fire by the perfectionist Khan.

Kingfisher Calendar for 2009 on Roll

This year new Kingfisher Calendar seems to be more exotic and pretty with exhibition of beautiful ladies like, Tamara Moss, Nargis Fakhri, Mimi Blix, Katya Melnikova, Moniangana Dutta, and Sunisa Jongsawat as model in the calendar.

The beautiful women for this year’s collection are dressed up in accessories and swimwear from Alberta Ferretti, Jean Ferretti, Jean Paul Gaultier and Kasbekar. The calendar is shot by Atul Kasbekar in exotic location with different models through out the year.

Jiah has featured as the cover girl on the December edition of the hot mag ‘Maxim’.Speaking about getting Jiah on board for this exclusive photo shoot, Anup Kutty-Editor, Maxim India, says “We had been getting too many requests from our readers to get Jiah khan to do a Maxim shoot. And with Ghajini around the corner, we figured this would be the best Xmas gift we could give to all Maxim fans. This shoot will definitely raise a few eyebrows and get Jiah the kind of attention she truly deserves.”This hot photo shoot was done by an ace photographer R. Burman and Jiah is definitely happy with the outcome. She says, “It was a lot of hard work but great fun shooting for Maxim. Mugdha Godse impressed one and all by her great screen presence in Fashion and now Madhur has included her again for his next flick Jail.

Although Jail is all about men, but Mugdha has an important role in the flick. Apparently Madhur has told Mugdha not to reveal much about her role.When quizzed, Mugdha did not comment on it, saying, “I can’t comment on it, you will have to ask Madhur about it. Priyanka Chopra tops Blender Hot List 2008

Blender, India’s coolest music magazine today launched its first Indian cover with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra adorning the November 2008 issue. It may be mentioned here that Maxim, Blender’s sister publication, also featured Priyanka on the cover of its launch edition, 3 years ago and sure the lady gave her lucky charm to the mag which has not looked back since.

Speaking on the occasion, Editor, Blender India, Sam Lal said,” The USP of Blender’s take on Priyanka is that it showcases the musical side of the actress, something, which no other magazine has explored. She was the most unique yet unanimous choice for the cover. “

Saira Mohan shoots for ‘Teen Patti’

Saira Mohan is not a new name in the arena of International modeling. Canadian born Saira Mohan has been hailed the ‘perfect face’ as the NewsWeek Cover Girl.

At present this hot gal is shooting in Mumbai for Serendipity Films’ ‘Teen Patti’. This Ambika Hinduja’s project stars Amitabh Bachchan, Madhavan, Dhruv Ganesh, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddharth Kher and Vaibhav Talwar. The film is supposed to be a thriller set in an engineering college with all the elements of peril, fraud and drama. An emotionally moving voyage of a Mathematics professor played by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan realizing his full potential in spite of extraordinary set backs.

Saira is elated to be a part of this important project. She tells, “This is the first Indian movie that I am working in and it is indeed an honour to be a part of a project that has Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as its lead. The producer has left no stone unturned in organising and aligning schedules and I am mighty impressed with how well orchestrated the entire shoot is. It is really like being anywhere else in the world”.

Saira was prior seen in a cameo role in Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006). She had played Abhishek Bachchan’s second wife and was in the scene where Rani goes to meet Abhishek and he meets her with his new wife at the wedding hall during the climax scenes.

Ambika A Hinduja is all praises for Saira and says, ” Saira is not only stunning but also has great confidence and a personality to complement her beauty. Her attitude made her the perfect choice for Teen Patti and we are more than pleased that we could work out dates and have her on board”.

Farhan Akhtar ventures into modelling for Maruti Suzuki

Farhan confirmed the news saying, “Yes. I am endorsing Maruti’s ‘A-Star’. Besides the press ads there’s also a TV commercial that has been shot which will get aired by early next month.”

Priyanka Chopra ‘Goddess of Atlantis’ at the launch of resort Atlantis

Priyanka Chopra who definitely would be in seventh sky after the success of movies,  ‘Fashion’ and ‘Dostana’ gained a new feather added to her when she was named as ‘Goddess of Atlantis’ to represent the new resort Atlantis, The Palms in Dubai!  She was decked out at the grand start of ‘Atlantis Rising,’ fireworks that was organized to launch the resort and the event was organized by same company which managed fireworks event at Beijing Olympics.

She was joined at the event by other stars from Hollywood including Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Gerard Butler, Janet Jackson, Lily Allen and Michael Jordan. Some of the richest business family from India including Ambanis, Moranis, and Hindujas were presented at the party.
