Shilpa Shetty all set to shoot the music video for her IPL team

When Shilpa Shetty stepped into the IPL arena along with her beau Raj Kundra, it was quite evident that glamour would seep into the cricket field. Shilpa has kept her promise of making a music video for the team and the theme song for the Rajasthan Royals will be composed Anand Raj Anand who is a close friend of the lady.

Apparently, the basic song of the Rajasthan Royals (’Halla Bol’) will remain unchanged, but the music that accompanies it will be changed. The lyrics of the anthem will be some what like, ‘Phir vahi lalkar hai, phir kanon mein goonj rahi jeet ki jhankar hai.’ The song will be sung by Anand Raj Anand himself along with Monali Thakur with Shilpa shooting a sizzling music video to promote her cricket team on the choreography of Ken Ghosh. The buzz is around that approx. 3 crores will be spent on the music video.

Says Shilpa excitedly. “I’m so glad Ken is making an exception for me. We chose Anand Raj Anand because he’s an expert at catchy folk songs. I first worked in a film with his music when he scored for Pardesi Babu. I was simply bowled over by the numbers. Today when I hear the song he has composed for our team I feel deeply enthused.”

Shilpa Shetty launches Sona’s ‘Unique’ showroom

Shilpa Shetty launched actress Sona’s first business venture, the showroom Unique, on Friday 9th at a function at the Taj Connemera in Chennai. Shilpa had come down to Chennai after a long time and said that she did it because of her personal acquaintance with Sona.

The Unique showroom is located opposite the SIET college and will showcase handpicked accessories from around the world. Speaking about the showroom, she said that it would be a one of its kind shopping place for all lifestyle requirements. She said that there would not be more than one or two of a given design or piece of any item in the showroom which would ensure that the buyer would get to retain the uniqueness of what has been bought.

Shilpa Shetty also added that she has been invited by Prabhu Deva to act in Tamil again and that she was interested to do more movies down south opposite top stars.

Says Sona, “Shilpa was amazed at the product list we showed her. International brands not available in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, will be available in my store. We will showcase only handpicked accessories from around the world and no two products will be the same.

What’s more…. some really big labels are going to be seen in the store. All products would be targeted mainly at the film, fashion and hi-end clientele who want to be exclusive and don’t mind paying for it. As the brand develops we will also be manufacturing our own range soon.”

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra Married?

Shilpa Shetty is currently in London and supposedly on her wedding trip. Shilpa’s whole family including her sister Shamita are in London.

Rumor mill says Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra got married a couple of days before Christmas and Raj threw a grand Christmas bash-cum-reception party for near and dear folks.Apparently Shilpa was so elated that she decided to cook herself for the Christmas bash. She prepared dinner for her beau and family that night. Shilpa says, “Luv cooking but (for 15 people) was backbreaking, but worth all the same when showered with huge compliments which we thoroughly lapped up.”She goes on to add “Dinner was a lavish (healthy), exotic spread …. fruit punch, salmon & chicken appetisers with some dips, Golden Roasted stuffed Turkey,(it looked like a tandoori turkey by the time I was finished with it!!!!) Yorkshire pudding, Mozzarella Salad, Roasted Parsnips Organic vegetables, corn pulao, brussel sprouts with roasted chestnuts… and finally topped it with a two layered chocolate cake and apple crumble with ice cream and traditional mince pies with warm custard.

Shilpa probably didn’t want to reveal to the world that she is married… But I bumped into this weird picture on the Internet… Shilpa in a wedding dress… Wonder if it supports the rumors.

Shilpa Shetty gets 15 stitches in legs

Shilpa Shetty has started her new blog ‘Shilpa Channel’ and it was through this blog that her admirers came to know that the sexy long legs that have kept them mesmerized so long had been hurt lately.

Blaming it all to a freak accident, Shilpa said in her blog, “The whole of last week just flew experiencing this near war situation in Mumbai, the place I was born in and unconditionally love. In all this chaos, I completely forgot that I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches, in a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air; I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot!”

However Shilpa does not forget to assure that the mishap will not prevent her from shooting for her new film ‘Desire’ (an Indo-Chinese project), starring her first foreign actor Xia Yu from China.

Shilpa aptly ends her blog stating that “Moral of the story is - Look before you leap and stay grounded!”

Shilpa’s Nose In the Air Results in Foot Injury

Shilpa Shetty has now learnt the importance of staying grounded thanks to her foot injury. She injured her foot in an accident because of her big sunglasses. She wrote on her blog -“I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches? don’t ask me how. In a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air, I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot.”“It is nothing that local anesthesia, a tetanus injection and antibiotics couldn’t solve. There’s nothing to worry about other than my dates that have gone for a toss, disabling me from taking Odissi lessons for my new film ‘Desire’,” she wrote.She ended her blog writing, ” “Look before you leap and stay grounded.” Hah! Have learnt it the hard way… haven’t you Shilpa?

Shilpa Shetty starts her blog too!

Even Shilpa Shetty couldn’t resist the charms of having her own blog to vent her feelings. However, Shilpa has an aversion to the term blog and prefers to call her space as ‘Shilpa Channel’ which would help her to keep in touch with her fans and the media.

Shetty lass decided upon ‘Shilpa Channel’ as the name of her blog since the actress used to playfully refer to her appearance on reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ as the same.

Confirming the reports, Shetty in an interview to a news daily said- “I will be starting my blog in a day or two on my official website — www.shilpashettylive.com. It will be good stuff. You will be proud of me.”

According to Shilpa, it was the Mumbai attack which gave her a push to start her website. “I wanted a channel to vent my anger against what has happened to my city. I should have started this when the Richard Gere controversy reputed.”

Never mind Shilpa! Better late than never!
